- '99-'06 Twin Cam motors (except '06 Dyna) cannot use standard '07-'17 cams due to journal size split. Standard late-model cams feature a 1.000" diameter, while earlier motors require the 0.875" outer bearing journal engineered into this "N" series.
- '99-'01 model motors require Andrews rear cam sprocket . '02-'06 models must reuse the stock factory rear cam sprocket (OEM #25728-06).
- Installer must check coil bind, valve-to-valve clearance and valve-to-piston clearance.
- Upgrades '99–'06 Twin Cam (except '06 Dyna) to late-style roller chains and hydraulic tensioners
- Engineered for use with stock lifters; requires '07-'17 cam plate, oil pump, sprockets, chains, and hydraulic adjusters (sold separately)
